Welcome to the twelfth music update of 2022
The Past
There are two big highlights from the last two weeks.
The first is the announcement of the Ante Bellum 1.8 update, for which the trailer has music composed by me in the theme and style of the planned update. In this case the trailer was announcing a Persia-focussed update, so the music is a Persian-style take on the Ante Bellum theme. However, in composing it I also blended in with the themes and styles established in the previously released Persian-American National Anthem of Axeral as well as other outside influences. Consider it an extension of Themes of the Old World into the Persian region, much like how Legacy of Seljuk was for Anatolia.
The second update is the Music Mod Creation Tool! If you've ever dreamed of becoming an EU4 DJ or Paradox Interactive music extraordinaire, this is the tool for you. The simple-to-use website takes your music files and writes out all the files and folder structure you need to implement those pieces of music in a variety of Paradox Interactive games. It is literally as easy to use as it sounds. Now you too can listen to all the music you like in-game!

The Future
There are three things I want to say about what's coming in the future at Utopia:
I am working on Music Expanded for CK3. We are preparing the groundwork for a competition/recruitment-drive-in-disguise in October. If you're interested in joining the CK3 Music team, send me a message!
There is a new song coming this Friday. It's not EU4 related, but a fun and interesting side-commission.
I have confirmed my major release schedule for 2023 with my publisher. EU4 players will be very pleased!
