Monthly Update #9-2023
Welcome to the NINeTH music update of 2023
Let's kick off with what's been cooking.
No doubt you'll have seen earlier today (or yesterday for you people from the future) that the first new release since the Anniversary Pack in August has dropped! Congrats to the in-development EU4 mod Gods and Kings for building such a detailed and exciting alternate world for me to create some banger new music for! If you haven't listened yet, get your dose of divinity, nobility and epic awesomality in an intrepid marching song below.
So what about the other songs and things I've promised? Don't worry! Music is coming.
All going well we should have the annual Christmas/Holiday song dropping in two weeks. Aptly titled "We're Going Back" this spin on the Third Odyssey theme mixes jazzy Christmas vibes with the epic orchestral Utopia that you know and love. I'm very excited to share this with you soon!
Then, there is the main theme for Post Finem, working title: "Rise of Carthage", which is complete and sounding very grand indeed! Release for this song is expected in early January, alongside further details of the mod becoming available. I keep listening to this one on repeat, it's very good!
Now, the eagle-eyed among you may notice a curious thing here: this year's Christmas song is two weeks earlier than usual, and Post Finem's theme is not taking up that available release slot. So what is? Well, well, well. I won't spoil all the fun! Let's wait and see what final package Utopia and Friends have in store for you this year
Finally, once the year is done, look out for the annual end-of-year update and 2024 roadmap! I'll outline ideas and plans going froward from there. This will replace the usual monthly-update, making this post the last regular update for 2023.
