Themes of the Old World: A Summary
Post-announcement banner.png

Themes of the Old World.

…is an album of modern orchestral music capturing the essence of Europe, its character and its history. Every region of the continent is featured through a unique theme intended to reflect the achievements of its people and the mark it left on the known world. Ultimately in most cases, these themes are just as applicable across all the “lands” of Europe. To reflect the historic ebb and flow of the continent, through fracture and unity, each theme is split between the times of peace and the times of war.

The music is orchestral, but distinctly not classical. Each piece is around three minutes in length and simply explores the given theme in harmonic, rhythmic and melodic ways to tell a story - almost like an instrumental variation of a pop song. The closest equivalent is probably found in cinematic music.
